Fitzwilliam Medical Centre is a clinic conveniently located in Dublin city centre providing a confidential and efficient service which deals with the needs of our patients quickly and accurately. Our central location allows us to offer a GP service for those working and living nearby and to those visiting the city, with consultations available by appointment, to new and existing patients.
At Fitzwilliam Medical Centre our patient’s needs are at the heart of everything we do. We listen to you and strive to use our expertise to reach an accurate diagnosis, appropriately treat and endeavour to allay any concerns you may have with respect to your mental or physical well being. We provide care for all ages and manage acute and chronic illness with special interests in Occupational health, Women’s Health, Dermatology and a Travel Medicine service also provided.
We accept Private and Medical card patients.
Our building is wheelchair accessible.

Dr. Donal Buckley

Dr Donal Buckley is the Medical Director of Fitzwilliam Medical Centre, establishing the practice in 1999. He graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1992. He is vocationally trained in the South East of Ireland, rotating though Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Psychiatry and Medicine. He completed Irish and British General Practice Memberships. Subsequently qualifying in Occupational Medicine with UCD and RCSI.
He spent 2 years in Australian medical practice before returning to Ireland establishing this city centre full service General Practice and Occupational Health Services.
Special interests of Occupational Health, teaching and Medical Information technology.
He is married with 3 young adult children & Labrador Chloe! He enjoys golf, tennis travel wine and fishing.
Dr Lorna Wilson
MB BCh BAO MICGP DOWH DCH Dip Derm
Dr Lorna Wilson graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2005. She went on to do medical training and rotated through respiratory medicine, rheumatology & accident and emergency before commencing on her GP training through the Western GP Training Programme based in Galway. After four years of vocational training and after completing diplomas in women’s & children’s health, she became a member of The Irish College of General Practitioners in 2012. She then worked for three and a half years in Dublin’s North Inner City where she gained valuable experience dealing with drug addiction and the homeless before joining Fitzwilliam Medical Practice in 2015. Since then, she has completed a yearlong postgraduate diploma through Cardiff University in practical dermatology and has further broadened her dermatology skills by becoming proficient in Dermoscopy – the study of moles by using a hand tool called a dermatoscope. This is a non-invasive way of looking at moles and detecting suspicious features early.
She is also a certified LARC (long acting reversible contraceptive device) inserter and holds a certificate in family planning.
She is available by appointment on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Dr Shona Baynes
BMBS MICGP DRCOG PG Cert (Derm) ProfDip Clinical Leadership
Dr Shona Baynes graduated from Brighton and Sussex Medical School and spent time working in the NHS and New Zealand before returning to Ireland. She completed her specialist GP training on the Mid-Leinster GP Training scheme in 2016. She is passionate about general practice and has post graduate qualifications in obstetrics and gynaecology, dermatology and clinical leadership. She has a specialist interest in paediatric dermatology and works one day a week in Temple St Children’s Hospital. She is also involved in medical education and is on the scheme directing team of the North-East GP Training Programme. She is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners and practices on the Specialist Register of the Irish Medical Council.
Dr Baynes is currently on Maternity Leave.
Eimear Mullins
Practice Nurse - RGN, RSCN
Eimear has been a practice nurse for over 12 years and is a registered children’s and general nurse. She trained in OLHC and Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown and is registered to provide cervical screening services. Eimear has a wealth of experience in childhood, travel and other forms of vaccinations, and also includes all associated practice nurse duties.
Maria Meagher
Practice Manager
Maria has in excess of 12 years-experience as a practice manager. Her professional manner, people skills and caring approach to both patients and clinical staff alike are a vital service to the practice.
